The First Georgia Tax Sale to Go Online!

Georgia Tax SaleGlynn County will be conducting on online tax sale on April 7, 2020. This is the first Georgia tax sale to go online that I am aware of. This will be a very interesting tax sale, since there are likely to be only a handful of properties left in the auction by the sale date. Bidders can register for the auction, bid, and research tax sale properties at Govease.com.

To register, you will have to fill out a w-9 form and provide a copy of your driver’s license and esign a bidder registration form and a bidder verification form. You do not need to submit a deposit in order to bid, but you do need to provide a proof of funds letter from your bank. You must also call the county to set up payment arrangements and your approval amount for bidding. Once approved you will be able to bid.

Govease.com has live webinar training for the Glynn County Georgia tax sale scheduled for Friday March 20, Monday March 23, Friday March 27, and Monday April 2. A live in person training session is scheduled for Monday April 2, at 8 a.m. in the W. Harold Pate Building at 1725 Reynolds St. Brunswick, Georgia. This is happening at a real opportune time for everyone with the limitations of personal contact in light of the COVID-19 epidemic. So perhaps other counties in the state of Georgia will follow suite.
