What states have tax sales coming up in September?
Let’s start with tax lien sales coming up in September…New Jersey tax sales are happening from now through the end of the year. And many of the NJ tax sales are online. The state of Indiana also has tax lien auctions this time of year, and a handful of IN counties have online tax lien auctions. There are a few tax lien sales coming up in Wyoming. One WY county that has its sale online.
There are 29 tax lien sales in Kentucky in September, all of which are live. It is necessary to register with the state of KY if you are going to buy more than 5 liens in the state, more than 3 in any given county, or spend over $10,000 at the auctions. And now one KY county conducts their auction online. All of the others are live. The state of Louisiana has 3 counties with tax lien in September and they are online auctions.
Tax Deeds
There are tax deed sales coming up in New York some of which are online. The state of Michigan still has tax deed auctions coming up, and most of those are online. There is one live tax deed sale ending in September in Wisconsin. There is one county in Minnesota with a tax deed sale coming up. But MN is not the best deed state to invest in, because they do not start the bidding at back taxes.
Other states with tax deed auctions in September are Washington, Idaho, California, Arkansas, Massachusetts, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, and North Carolina. All of these states except for Arkansas and North Carolina have some counties with online tax sales. Both Kansas and Nevada have one online tax deed sale scheduled for September. And the state of South Dakota has one county with a live tax deed sale in September.
Redeemable Tax Deeds
Texas and Georgia have counties that have redeemable tax deed auctions every month. In both of these states the tax sales take place on the first Tuesday of the month. A couple of counties in GA and a handful of counties in TX conduct these auctions online. Tennessee has 2 counties with tax sales in September and one of those actions is online. The state of Delaware only has 3 counties and 1 of them has a tax sale in early September. The state of Connecticut has 6 redeemable deed sales in September and they are all live auctions. There are 2 online redeemable deed auctions in Philadelphia PA scheduled for September.
