Having a plan of action at the beginning of the day and week, gives you a sense of direction and control, which reduces the stress of the unknown.
Plan your day, week and month. Be realistic. You may not be able to do everything that you want to. But by planning you will know in advance what you can expect of yourself. Allow for unexpected demands on your time. Do not worry if you don’t get everything done. Your weekly plan should not put more stress on you, but reduce the stress.
Plan your day as best as you are able to at the beginning of the day or review the plan you set up the day before. Just keep adding to a to-do list as new things arise, so you can include them in your planning according to priority.
Plan with your partner to fit all the important family activities and commitments in your week.
How has planning helped you in the past?
When is the best time for you to plan your day?
