?Leadership is first being, then doing.? ? Myles Munroe
As a leader you are constantly ‘doing.’ Taking charge, making decisions, influencing others and getting things going. It may seem that a leader is truly a ‘human doing’, not a human being. But before you can take charge, you must be responsible. Affirmations: Be all you can be. With Fond Regards Arnfried Klein-Werner |

Hi Brian and Andrew,
I love the points that Andrew makes and the quotes except for one thing: Sometimes I have to aim before I before I fire. I also think that it’s good to count the cost before you jump in to some things.

Hmm, I think I’ll play devil’s advocate here:
1. You have to take charge to learn responsibility
2. To be able to make wise decisions, you have to learn from mistakes
3. If you attempt to influence others first, your pure motives will quickly follow (if you are honest and sincere)
4. Sometimes (usually in my case), you have to get going before you can find your focus.
Robert Kiyosaki says to F.E.A.R = fail early and responsibly. While I’m not super motivated by this statement or ideology, I think it does have some merit to it. It beats analysis paralysis.
Michael Masterson says = Ready, Fire, Aim. Get out there and do it and you can make adjustments as you go.
Just saying … 🙂

OK, I gotta admit that sometimes a feel like I’m a “human doing,” and not a human being. Sometimes I feel that it’s not who I am that matters but what I do. Every once in a while I have to remind myself, that I have to be before I can do. In other words I have to be the person I want to be in order to do the things I want to do. What’s your strategy for being the person you want to be?
