Whether you are investing in tax lien certificates, tax deeds, redeemable tax deeds or if you are using advanced strategies to invest in tax delinquent properties like buying properties before they are sold at the tax sale, the first step is to find the best place for you to invest. You want to invest in an area where property has enough value so that you will be able to sell it at a profit, but not so much value that the competition drives the price up close to market value (like in some parts of California). So how do you find the right place to invest so that you make a nice profit investing in tax delinquent properties?

Here?s a trick that I learned from Jack Bosch and his Land Profit Generator. Jack uses web sites that sell real estate cheap, like e-bay.com and bid4assets.com to find the best places to invest. He searches for areas where there is a lot of property for sale, and then follows the properties to see what they actually sell for and how many bids they get. He finds areas where there are a lot of properties selling and there are a few bids on each of the properties. Then he watches these items to see what they eventually sell for. This is how he figures out what the market is for these properties. Then he knows just how much he can sell properties for that he buys with Land Profit method of purchasing tax delinquent land for pennies on the dollar.
